Salary: $72,000 per annum–The gross salary paid is subject to applicable Federal and Provincial income taxes and other statutory deductions.
Vacation: 4% of the gross salary
Hours of Work: 30 Hours a week

Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities

  • Assess the existing security operations, guard services, and client site requirements to identify risks, vulnerabilities, and gaps.
  • Develop, implement, and refine security policies, procedures, and operational protocols in compliance with Ontario’s Private Security and Investigative Services Act and related regulations.
  • Design tailored security programs for client sites, including corporate offices, retail, events, residential complexes, and industrial facilities.
  • Conduct threat and risk assessments (TRA) for clients to identify security risks such as theft, vandalism, workplace violence, and unauthorized access.
  • Advise clients on best practices for physical security, access control systems, video surveillance, and emergency preparedness.
  • Recommend preventive and corrective measures to reduce exposure to security risks.
  • Review guard schedules, deployment strategies, and response protocols to optimize coverage and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and licensing requirements for both company and employees.
  • Monitor incident reports, security logs, and client feedback to identify recurring issues and implement corrective action.
  • Provide professional consulting to clients on cost-effective security solutions aligned with their business operations.
  • Support business development efforts by preparing proposals, bids, and security management plans for prospective clients.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree or college diploma in business administration, security management, or a related discipline is required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the security industry, including supervisory or management responsibilities are required.
  • Experience conducting risk assessments, developing security policies/procedures, and managing security operations is required.
  • Strong understanding of Ontario’s Private Security and Investigative Services Act and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Knowledge of security technology including CCTV, access control, alarm systems, and reporting tools.
  • Must hold a valid Ontario Security Guard licence.
