Industrial Belt Repairer (2 Positions)
Delcato Foods is seeking reliable and mechanically inclined Industrial Belt Repairers to support the maintenance and continuous operation of production line equipment. Successful candidates will work closely with the maintenance and production teams to ensure minimal downtime and efficient operations across all departments.
Job Duties
- Inspect, maintain, and repair industrial conveyor belts used in food production lines
- Diagnose mechanical issues and troubleshoot conveyor systems and related components
- Replace worn or damaged belts, rollers, bearings, and other mechanical parts
- Perform preventive maintenance to minimize equipment downtime
- Ensure proper alignment, tension, and tracking of conveyor systems
- Maintain equipment cleanliness in accordance with food safety and sanitation standards
- Coordinate with production staff to support continuous operations
- Record maintenance activities and report equipment performance issues
Requirements
- Completion of secondary school
- Minimum of one (1) to two (2) years of experience in industrial equipment or conveyor belt repair, or experience as a production worker in a food manufacturing environment with exposure to production line machinery and basic maintenance tasks
- Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to use hand and power tools
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
- Ability to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
Compensation and Work Conditions
- Full-time, permanent position with a minimum of 30 hours of work per week
- Annual salary of $35,000
- Work location: 30 Dohme Avenue, Toronto, ON, M4B 1Y9
- Physically demanding; standing for extended periods, repetitive tasks, and manual handling
- Work in refrigerated or temperature-controlled environments
