Position:  Administrative Assistant
Duration: Full Time
Location: 6-90 Kennedy Rd South, Brampton, ON, L6W 3E7
Salary: $24.50 per hour– to be paid on biweekly basis. The gross salary is subject to all applicable Federal and Provincial income taxes and other statutory deductions.
Vacation: 4% of the gross salary
Hours of Work: 32-40 Hours per week

Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities

  • Act as a first line of contact for the customers, answer generic inquires, take messages, book appointments, and convey further.
  • Providing general administrative assistance by scheduling and coordinating appointments, maintaining filing system, preparing companywide e-mails, and processing incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Co-ordinate the flow of information internally with the other employees.
  • Prepare purchase orders, RFQ’s (request for quotes)
  • Oversee the inventory, ensuring a practical working stock. Order replacement equipment, parts, and supplies.
  • Work on repair claims and follow up with insurance companies for the claims.
  • Ensure that detailed and accurate repair reports and documentation are kept and filed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in an administrative position is required.
  • Completion of secondary school is required.
  • Highly organized with an attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills in English Language required.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
  • Knowledge of MS Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook is required.
