| Salary: | $52,000.00 per annum; The gross salary paid is subject to applicable Federal and Provincial income taxes and other statutory deductions such as EI and CPP. |
| Vacation: | 4% of the gross salary |
| Hours of Work: | 32.5 Hours a week. Overtime rate (X1.5) applicable after 44 hours of work per week |
Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities
- Assist in developing engineering specifications and drawings.
- Work as a liaison between the client, trades & designers.
- Review designs and assist in preparing quotations for the projects.
- Obtain quotations from the trades for the outsourced work.
- Plan ahead by procuring resources and backups to avoid potential delays due to trades unavailability.
- Prepare bill of materials, source materials, verify technical details before quoting.
- Participate in field surveys, inspections or technical investigations for the projects undertaken.
- Working within the budget provided by the client and eliminating unnecessary expenses.
- Prepare progress reports and update clients.
- Coordinate with the administrative department for the invoicing as per the construction milestones.
Specific Job Requirements
- Minimum one year experience in the civil/construction engineering field is required
- Completion of a two- or three-year college program in civil engineering technology or a closely related discipline is required.
- Valid driver’s license is required
- Moderate oral/written communication skills in English
